Bob Pender has specialized in and focused on Senior Estate Preservation and Wealth Transfer Planning solutions since 1996. Over the past twenty years, Bob and his experienced staff have worked with a network of Texas Elder Law attorneys to help over 7,000 families protect their life savings and become eligible for Medicaid assistance. Bob and his team of Associates, are frequently hired by Elder Law Attorneys as their Financial Coordinators and Consultants, to assist them in finding every financial method available to help families preserve their families’ life savings, so that loved ones can get the care that they need without sacrificing the families’ financial future.

Robert C. “Bob“ Pender is the founder and President of Seniors Financial Solutions, Inc. and was born and raised in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1970 and received his Honorable Discharge as a Captain from The United States Army in 1977. Bob entered the financial services industry in February, 1996 and has specialized for over 20 years, since 1998, in Asset Protection Planning and Medicaid Planning for Seniors. He and his wife, Marsha, live in Leander, Texas. Bob and Marsha love traveling, scuba diving, entertaining and enjoying their friends.

I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended Baylor University. My son and I live in the Cedar Park/ Leander area.

I joined Bob Pender on October 25, 2001 and have been with Seniors Financial Solutions from the beginning in 2002. Working with Seniors has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager, when I began volunteering at local nursing homes. I absolutely love being able to help calm the fear and clear up the confusion that many of our Senior clients come to us with. It is such a pleasure to be able to teach them about the process and tell them that it is going to be okay! I am truly blessed to be a part of a company that really makes a difference in the lives of others. We have assembled an amazing team of very special and compassionate people who have one goal: HELPING PEOPLE. In addition to loving my job, I also enjoy running, skiing, scuba diving, but most of all watching my son play football and spending time with my family.

I am originally from Corpus Christi, TX but consider Austin home.

In December of 2003 I was honored to take a position here at Seniors Financial Solutions. In the first few years of working here I was blessed to learn directly from my mentors, (Bob Pender and Michelle Davis). I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience learning directly from them and I feel confident that we have the ability to provide the best result for our clients. I take pride in the work that Seniors Financial Solutions provides to our clients, their families, and the nursing facilities. It is so satisfying to hear the gratitude that our families express. Our services are like no other as our goal is to always be there to help families navigate through the complications of Medicaid approval and be their personal representative to take that pressure off when they are already in the midst of likely a very stressful time. There is something very rewarding in knowing that you can help families when many think it is impossible. It never gets old giving someone the good news.

I have two daughters who keep us very entertained and busy!

My name is Haley Wisian, I was born and raised in the Leander/Cedar Park area and have always enjoyed the area. I am happily married with a toddler son who is a ball of energy! In July of 2009 I had the wonderful opportunity of joining the team at Seniors Financial Solutions. My previous work experience at the State of Texas, and in my family’s business has made me very detail oriented, and taught me to have a great work ethic, as well as being able to connect with people and help them through their tough times.

My role consists of meeting with families to review their personalized options and work with the families and attorneys to achieve whichever goal they choose. I assist in the preparation of cases to be submitted to the State as well as the initial referrals that come in. I also represent Seniors Financial Solutions with several Skilled Nursing Facilities as being their personal representative for all of their residents in need of Medicaid benefits. My favorite part about working at Seniors Financial Solutions is how everyone has their hearts set on helping our clients in any way we possibly can.

My name is Anna and I am a Case Manager at Seniors Financial Solutions. I joined the SFS team in March of 2010. It is a pleasure getting to know each family, and learning their family history. I also enjoy the feeling of accomplishment knowing that I have helped a family that is going through a very difficult time. I am happily married with 2 children, we are involved in many sport activities and enjoying the great outdoors.

I am Holly Gigout, LBSW, Case Manager and the Southeast Central Texas Representative for Seniors Financial Solutions. Though I grew up in Michigan, I got to Texas as soon as I could and now have a family in Smithville. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a nursing home social worker for 14 years before officially joining the Seniors Financial Solutions family in 2011. Since I had received nothing but positive feedback from the families I had referred to SFS since 2003, I felt confident that I was making a good career move and joining a wonderful, helpful organization.

As a licensed social worker, I feel that my experience in long term care allows me to provide my clients with a unique perspective and additional help in navigating through this difficult time in their lives. Generally, I just love helping people, getting to know their personal stories, and making sure that their wishes are respected.

Hi! My name is Misty. I joined Seniors Financial Solutions in 2011. I enjoy helping families with the Medicaid process because it is always so stressful for them and can be very confusing. I work with families from the very beginning all the way until approval. With the help of our attorneys we can make sure that every piece of the puzzle is covered. The best part of my job is being able to calm the fear of losing it all and clearing up the misconceptions.

In my off time, I enjoy reading, cooking and hanging out with my family, I have 3 boys and a husband who LOVES football.

Kirsten Sheldon

I was born in California and graduated High School in 1987. I received my Associates Degree in Education in 1990. I worked at a private pre-K program for 17 years and then found my way to Seniors Financial Solutions/ Estate Preservation Network in April of 2010. I have been the Administrative Assistant and MERP counselor ever since. My work at SFS brings me great joy in helping families who are struggling to give their love one the Nursing Home care they deserve and overcoming the challenges of getting their love one eligible for Nursing Home Medicaid. The families we speak with and help are overwhelmed and emotional and I love that we can take some of the stress from their lives.

I have two daughters who are 26 and 23 and my husband has two boys who are 19 and 20. I have been married for 15 years and we have lived in Cedar Park since 2000 and we are proud to call it home.
