Having a privately owned business and being self employed can have its perks. But with recent studies, at about 40% of self employed American citizens do not save money on a regular basis for their retirement. And 28% of the self employed are not saving for retirement at all. With the “American Way” of thinking, if you got the money to spend, then spend it, saving money for your retirement can be a challenge to some.
